Hello, I'm Abbie.


I'm a multidisciplinary artist, photographer and mama of two, born and raised here in the Papamoa Hills, Bay of Plenty.


In 2018, I graduated with an Art Degree, majoring in Visual Art, and have since spent the past decade working within the photography industry, primarily specialising in fine art portraiture. My work has always been deeply rooted in connection, to people, to place and to the body. My sessions tend to unfold organically, as I step into my surroundings with no rigid agenda, no expectations and an openness to the free-flowing forms of both my subjects and their environment. Rather than forcing a moment, I'm here to create space for it.


After spending the past year immersed in motherhood, I've recently returned to my creative work with a renewed perspective. Becoming a mama of two has shifted the way I see women, bodies, connection and the fleeting seasons of our lives. It's reminded me just how much beauty exists in the parts of ourselves and our stories that we don't always think to photograph but most definitely should. And so, as I step back into this work, I'm being more intentional about the stories I want to tell and the people I want to create alongside. Whether we're creating something sensual and soulful through boudoir, celebrating the wild and transformative journey into motherhood, or simply creating beautiful portraiture for the sake of art. It would be an absolute honour to capture a little piece of your story and create photographs that live beyond the moment, images that remind you of who you were, how you felt and the beauty that existed right there, in that particular season of your life.


I'm a genuine soul, deeply connected to nature and a dominant earth sign through and through. I love the messy, the imperfect, the raw and the real. I don't believe you need to fit into a particular mould to be photographed beautifully. You just need to show up as yourself. I'll take care of the rest. I utilise my natural, grounded energy alongside my eclectic creative background to capture moments of emotion, self-expression and self-discovery. I'm drawn to movement, natural light, raw beauty and those imperfect but perfect in-between moments. I seek to create something honest, something emotive, something you can look back on and feel.
